A native of the Dominican Republic, a peninsula in the Caribbean. At the age of 10 my parents, Norberto and Judith along with my siblings, Paco, Michelle and myself moved to New York City. This is where I learned English and completed my k-12 education.
After my graduation from high school, my parents decided to move to Raleigh, where I attended NC State. I hold a BA in middle grades education, with licenses in math and social studies, 6-12 grades. I also recently graduated with a Master's degree in applied earth science with a concentration in geophysics.
I started at Phillips in 2011 as the school’s receptionist, while still attending college at night. Upon graduation from undergrad in 2013, I was offered a position at Phillips as a math teacher.
